The Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce have arranged a trip to China April 4-12, 2013. The trip will begin April 4 with a flight directly from JFK International Airport to China. The trip will cost $2,199 based on double occupancy ($500 more for a single occupancy room), which includes a $200 non-refundable deposit. The trip includes bus transportation to JFK, round trip air transportation, 4 and 5 star hotels, three meals each day and sightseeing. A deluxe tour bus, fluent English-speaking tour guides and entrance fees are included. Sights include the Great Wall, Tian An Men Square, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, Lingering Garden, Yu Garden, Lingyin Temple, a boat cruise on the West Lake, and a visit to the Bund. Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou, and Hangzhou will be visited. Attendees will need to provide a $25 one- time fee to cover the cost of all tips during the trip and obtain their passport and visa. Chamber staff can assist attendees with obtaining their visa.
New this year, an optional side trip is being offered to Xi’an. Travelers who choose this option will visit the Big Wild Geese Pagoda, the Terra-Cotta Warriors at the Tomb of the First Emperor of Qin Dynasty, the Huaqing Hot Spring Park and Banpo Museum, a preserved pre-historic caveman site. The cost of the side trip is $500 per person.
