McCartney’s Workplace Solutions Goes Solar
Altoona, PA – McCartney’s Workplace Solutions is proud to announce the completion and activation of its new solar panel system at our Howard Avenue facilities in Altoona. Partnering with local Central PA provider Groundhog Solar, LLC, this initiative marks an important step in our ongoing commitment to sustainability. As of December 9, 2024, the system is officially online and poised to generate more electricity than we consume on an annual basis.
McCartney’s is the first commercial business in the city of Altoona to achieve this goal.
By embracing solar power, we aim to promote renewable energy, reduce our carbon footprint, and contribute to lowering energy costs in our community. This investment aligns with similar sustainability efforts by our manufacturer and supplier partners and reflects our dedication to making Central PA a better place to live and work.
Beyond solar energy, McCartney’s continues to lead by example in environmental stewardship. We actively recycle waste materials, including furniture scrap metal, cardboard, and packaging. Through our toner cartridge recycling program, we help customers responsibly dispose of spent cartridges and offer eco-friendly, refilled options for reuse. Our supply department also offers a wide range of recycled, sustainable, and environmentally conscious products.
